Tanner is thankful to be teaching at the organization that started his Independent marching career. He has performed with Cap City since their first WGI finals appearance in 2017 through 2021, as well as with Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corp in 2017, Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corp in 2018-2019,  and with RCC in 2022.

Now shifted into the teaching role, Tanner currently works with Rock Hill High School teaching the percussion section and visual for the overall band. He is also pursuing his A.A.S in Network Administration at Mountwest.
