Josh Donathan is from Brazil, IN, where he graduated from Northview High School in 2020. He began his independent marching career playing bass drum at Heat Wave Drum Corps in 2019. After a brief hiatus from marching due to Covid, Josh continued his marching career with Cap City 2 (2022), Phantom Regiment (2022), Cap City (2023), the Boston Crusaders (2023), and Rhythm X (2024).

Josh is currently based in Indianapolis, IN, where he attends IU Indianapolis, majoring in chemistry. He has taught various high school programs in Indiana and currently works as an instructor at both Zionsville High School and Decatur Central High School. Josh also serves as a bass technician at Cincinnati Tradition (2024-present).
