JJ performed as a member of the snare line at Cap City in 2017 and 2018.  He also performed with the Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps (2015-2016), Notre Dame Indoor (2013-2015), and the Cleveland Browns Drumline (2018-2019).

JJ has worked with multiple groups in the state of Ohio, including Brunswick High School as a Battery Technician, Avon Lake High School as Percussion Director, Tippecanoe High School as Percussion Instructor, Matrix Open as a Snare Technician, and Kettering Fairmont High School as a Battery Technician.  He was a part of the Cap City visual staff in 2019, the CC2 Battery Coordinator in 2020, and is now returning as a Battery Coordinator for the upcoming season.

He resides in Dayton, Ohio and attends Wright State University for Music Performance and Education.
