Andrew Novak is dedicated to the art of percussion and the pageantry arts. With over a decade of experience in teaching and an extensive background in the field, Andrew is passionate about fostering musical growth and inspiring students to reach their full potential. He has had the privilege of working with several renowned organizations within the pageantry arts. Some of the notable groups include Legends Drum & Bugle Corps, Notre Dame Indoor Percussion Ensemble, Burning River Percussion, and Cap City Percussion’s open and world class ensembles.

At the core of Andrew’s teaching philosophy is the belief in empowering students to become independent learners. By guiding students to understand how they think about musical concepts and techniques, he aims to equip them with the tools and mindset necessary to teach themselves. Andrew is excited to be returning to Cap City for his 4th season as a battery coordinator.
